Can you solve the cube…of course you can…with a little magic.
The Effect:
The performer shows a classic Rubik’s Cube, with the coloured squares all mixed up. It is put into an empty box.
When the cube is taken out, all of the sides have instantly been solved.
Going into the box once more, the cube is taken out again to show now that the cube is completely yellow and can again be shown on all sides!
Presentation Ideas:
Because the cube changes to all yellow, you can use it as part of a mindreading routine. All you have to do is force the colour yellow. There are many ways to do this, it can be as simple as having a yellow silk handkerchief in one side of a change and the other in the second compartment.
Show all the different coloured handkerchiefs, put them in and secretly make the switch before allowing the spectator to take one. When they choose yellow, lift the box to show that the cube now matches the chosen colour. Easy to do but adds another element of mystery to the trick.

Showing the muddled cube, the performer talks about how life can be like a puzzle sometimes – it can be challenging, and we can sometimes make a real mess of things. Thankfully, when we invite God into our lives He can make sense of things and help bring some order (lift cube out showing sides all solved) He can solve some of those big problems and help us to understand things.
He also makes immense promises, when Jesus died and was put in the tomb (put cube back in the box) he rose again so that we could be transformed (take out cube, showing it all solid yellow) That is the golden promise from God, that we can be forgiven for the mess we’ve made of things and ultimately can walk the streets paved with gold in Heaven.
