Usually performed as a sucker effect with a dye tube, the magician shows how pushing a white silk through their hand turns it red and vice versa (so far so standard dye tube), For the final sucker effect the magician pushes the silk into their hand and it starts to change.  They open their hand halfway through and the silk is found to be half red & half white.
