No matter how hard they try, your “Victim” will never be able to make the box stand on its end, whereas your “Hero” will be able to do it every time.

This is an old bar bet that we have been using for years in our ad-hoc style shows but we have produced in higher quality materials and with features to improve the trick.

An empty matchbox is shown to the audience and the performer explains how only certain people can stand the matchbox on its end. The performer demonstrates what they mean by laying the box overhanging the edge of a table and gently with just one finger lifting it up until it is balanced on its end. They then pass the box to the “Hero” spectator who can copy this easily. Passing the box to the “Victim” spectator they will find that the box refuses to stay on its end and instead will tip right over.
